When spasticity is more prevalent in the feet, is it advisable to get surgery?

It is important to treat spasticity as early as possible in order to reduce the need for surgery. Treatments could include a combination of physiotherapy, medication and botulinum toxin injections. If you have severe contractures, that is, when your joints and muscles become so stiff that it is impossible to move them, you may need surgery to lengthen your tendons.
